Web Designer
Location: Reading (hybrid)
Salary: Up to £35K
Join Zens Consultancy—a fast-growing digital transformation partner to leading financial, healthcare, and e-commerce brands. We blend user-centered design with strategic insight to build software and experiences that drive real business outcomes. As we continue to expand, we’re looking for a talented Web Designer to join our team and help shape the next generation of digital products.
Responsibilities:
Site Design & Build: Create responsive, visually engaging websites using WordPress (Elementor) or Webflow, from concept through launch.
Content Integration: Curate and embed high-impact visuals—photography, video, and graphics—to enhance storytelling and user engagement.
Prototype & Iterate: Rapidly mock up page layouts, microsites, and campaign hubs in Figma; gather feedback and refine designs.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with copywriters, marketers, and developers to ensure consistency of brand, messaging, and functionality.
Performance & Accessibility: Apply best practices for site speed, SEO, and WCAG-compliant accessibility.
Handoff & Documentation: Produce clear style guides, component libraries, and build instructions for seamless development.
Experience & Skills:
Portfolio: 2+ years of web design work showcasing complete WordPress or Webflow projects.
Tools Proficiency: Expert in Elementor or Webflow; strong skills in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator).
Front-End Basics: Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive layout techniques.
UX Principles: Knowledge of information architecture, navigation patterns, and user-centric best practices.
Attention to Detail: Keen eye for typography, spacing, and visual hierarchy.
Communication: Excellent presentation and stakeholder-management abilities, able to articulate design choices clearly.
